RiverTrends ("we", "our", or "us") provides a mobile news application that delivers editorially processed trending headlines and a curated news digest.

RiverTrends does not require you to create an account to browse content. You may use the app without providing any personal information.

If you choose to subscribe to RiverTrends Pro, limited subscription status data is processed as described below. The app does not serve advertisements.

A. Usage and Device Data

Third-party services integrated into the app may automatically collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• App performance and crash data
• General interaction data (screens viewed, features used)
• Coarse location (country or region level, derived from IP address)

This data is used solely for improving app stability and understanding feature usage. It is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

B. Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we process a device token and your notification preferences to deliver alerts. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

C. Subscription Data (RiverTrends Pro)

All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your payment details. We receive limited subscription status information (active, expired, or in trial) through our subscription management provider to unlock premium features.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected data to:

• Deliver and personalize news content within the app
• Send push notifications (if enabled)
• Manage subscription entitlements
• Monitor app performance and fix crashes
• Improve the quality of the app experience

4. Content Processing

News content displayed in RiverTrends is sourced from publicly available feeds and licensed editorial APIs. Headlines and summaries are editorially processed on our servers to provide a concise, original reading experience.

No personal user data is transmitted to or shared with content processing services. Only publicly available news content is processed.

5. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of third-party services for app infrastructure:

• Analytics and crash reporting — to measure app performance and diagnose issues
• Subscription management — to verify and manage your subscription status
• Push notification delivery — to send alerts you have opted into

These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to provide services on our behalf. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

RiverTrends does not use Apple's AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) framework. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not serve advertisements in the app.

Usage and performance data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Subscription status data is retained for the duration of your subscription and a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping.

RiverTrends is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Choices

• Stop use: You may uninstall the app at any time

10. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the European Union. If you access the app from outside the EU, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
